Aside from the hilarity of getting my book and realizing the printer had printed it incorrectly (every set of two pages was still connected at the top, making reading entirely a colorful and inventive experience), I really liked the lay out of this book. It may have come nearly two years later from my first trip to New York, but it would have been a god send at the time and it means the next time I end up that way I have the perfect book in my possession already.

My favorite thing about this "metro" guide was that each section -- whether it was food or arts or history or on and on -- was broken down by those themes, and then inside that chapter on the theme it was broken down by location (instead of the reverse that I see in a lot of other guide books, where they break it down my area and then theme). I loved getting to compare things.

I also really loved the front fold out maps of every metro location close-up. They are highly helpful. Definitely recommending this one to travelers of New York City.
