Being an explication of women's reasons for engaging in adultery, as related by a psychoanalyst through recounting her interviews with her patients. After an opening summary of images of female sexuality through history in popular culture, the rest of the book consists of accounts of these intervies, with interstitial snippets describing her reactions to what has been said and how she is going to proceed with her interview (in many ways, these reflections are the most interesting part of the book). As for the women's narratives, they quickly mush together, as they are very similar and are not recounted particularly interestingly, as the author is no stylist.… (más)
