A good look at the life of a larger than life queen. Maria Pia, born a Princess of Italy, was married by proxy to the King of Portugal. The author provides us with an insightful biography into the queen's character. As the author tells us in her introduction, their is remarkably little information on the queen in English, so this is a treat to read.

Editiorially, this is one of the best books that Eurohistory has produced with regard to grammatical errors. A job well done.
