Perch, Mrs. Sackets, and Crow's Nest by Karen Pavlicin is a lovely and short novel with nice messages.
Young Andy is looking for a way to communicate with God after the sadness of losing his father. He and his mother spend their "summer of courage" with his grandma. While there they both learn that you don't have to seek God in an elaborate fashion, he speaks to all of us through the pleasures of everyday life such as: apple pies, fishing, singing, and most importantly loving relationships.
This isn't an in depth novel, but it's a nice and sweet read.… (más)
