Twenty year old Eliza Conroy searchs for answers as to why her mother committed suicide in front of her by slashing her wrists in the bathtub. The twists and turn in the plot are used to emphasize the price of finding truth and facing the consequences.

The work is Americanized. Phrases used in American but are not used in Ireland. Words are used differently or have a different meaning when used in Ireland, i.e.. Tub.
