In the End is an amazing tale of what would happen in the end of America. After several natural disasters, the United States open their airspace to allow aid. Unfortunately, instead of aid, the United States receives air attacks. Who is trying to harm them? How will people survive without food, electricity, and clean water?

The United States is in complete chaos and no one knows who they can trust. Rachel is courageous during the most difficult time of her life. She has to be brave and strong for her kids. But when her sister is mistaken for her, secrets are revealed that question how well Brenda really knows her sister. What happened to Rachel two years ago? How does this play into what's happening?

I can honestly say I have never read a book quite like this. The entire time, I kept thinking about what i would have done in the same circumstances. I most certainly would have fallen apart. Bonnie Paulson has once again surprised me with her storytelling genius. I was immediately drawn into the story; it kept me intrigued and at the edge of my seat to the very end. I can't wait to read book two to see what happens next!… (más)

I received a free copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review. This novel is unlike any other zombie novel I have ever read. Paul, although being transformed into a zombie staves off his cravings to save Heather. Although when sent to kidnap the girls, he'd bitten her, somehow she didn't transform. Could she be the key for a cure to save him and those like him? I guess you'll have to read it to find out. This book was awesome and so difficult to put down. It held my attention throughout, I can't wait to read book two to see what happens next.… (más)

Molly had recently recovered from the loss of her twin sister. Her two best friends were also very close to Tricia and stood by Molly’s side to help her heal. Now that it’s become a cold case, they’re trying to help Molly move on. They’ve come up with the crazy idea that Molly should try speed dating, as to further encourage her, they’ve signed up too. But when one of her dates sneak a flattened penny onto her table; she realizes she’s met with her sister’s killer. Which one of these equally bizarre men could it be? Was she imagining things?

A Date to Die For is a riveting mystery thriller. It seemed so realistic that I really did feel Molly’s fear. There’s also lots of humor in this book as well, Molly’s reactions to situations, and her interactions with her girlfriends, just had me laughing a lot. The descriptions were very vivid, with lots of wow moments. The ending is quite a surprise; I honestly didn’t see it coming. This was a great mystery, with a handsome book boyfriend and a bit of romance on the side. This is very different from Bonnie Paulson’s other writings, but I really hope she’ll write a few more books in this genre, I absolutely loved it!

Cost of Survival is book one in The Worth of Souls series. The story begins with Kelly feeling tremors from bombs being dropped outside her school. She witnesses many frightened teachers and students trying to escape the onslaught. Kelly rushes home with the hope that her mother and their home is still in tact. She arrives to see her mother casually drinking a cup of tea as she her surroundings get bombed. Kelly knows her mom is cool and collected because she's been expecting this, it's written about it in the Bible and they have been preparing for years. Kelly is sent to pack her "bug out" bag with essentials and they begin their journey to the co-op that has been preparing for this day. Things don't go as planned when they arrive and learn there's a new leader and also all of the rules have changed. What will they do now? Where is Bodey?

As always, Bonnie Paulson has written yet another wonderful Dystopian novel. There's nonstop action from the very beginning of the book, and keeps you completely engrossed. I lost track of time reading it; yes, it's that amazing. You could feel Kelly's emotional struggle as she ran home, she had no one but her mother. What would she do if she got home and she had gotten hit? This is one of the best novels I have read all year and I am anxious to read book two!… (más)
