Margaret O'Neil

This is the second book I've read by Margaret O'Neil. Even though I am no sports fan, this story of a pro football player held me all the way through. On the surface, it's a story about an athlete recovering from a serious injury with the help of a gutsy physical therapist. On a deeper level, it's about recovering from the emotional wounds of his childhood and his search for the love that's essential to finding a real home.

I loved this story. O'Neil is a master at the subtleties of relationship building -- and writes loves scenes that are believable, emotional and compelling.
