Unsplatterpunk! 3 attempts to take splatterpunk and shake it up. Seeking out a positive message within such nastiness is a challenging task and the stories contained within this collection generally succeed. Granted, any positive outcome is hard won, and there is a generous amount of gore and extreme violence on the way, but these contradictory elements make for a very interesting take. If splatterpunk is ever thoughtful then unsplatterpunk is as close as it gets.

Standout stories without doubt come from Tom Over with his delightful sci-fi set body horror Phylum, and Garvan Giltinan with the at once horrific, comic, and touching treat Stump.… (más)
