"Laughter truly is the best medicine for those of us approaching middle or -- dare we say it? -- old age. Packed with tongue-in check humor, hilarious misunderstandings and funny foibles. Gettin' Old STILL Ain't for Wimps will make you smile and remind you how great life can be." From the back of the book.

I think I could definitely relate, now that I am nearly 53 years old. If I had read this even as recently as 5 years ago, I would not have understood the humor. It provides lots of good stories, but hard to keep momentum to finish the book after a while. The book does help you realize that we all sooner or later will go through aging-related issues, and that God is in control.

She encourages us to take new chances, accept new challenges and to not take our self too seriously. I feel this is a great book for someone who is senior or feels they are approaching that age bracket. This is only my opinion but I do not think a millennial, will understand and appreciate the humor. I received a copy of this book from Harvest House Publishers through NetGalleys. The Opinion expressed in this review is completely my own… (más)
