Great intro book. You won't regret reading this if you want to appreciate poetry.
We used this book for a textbook in one of my creative writing classes and i bought at least one updated version--it is an absolutely wonderful poetry introduction--with just enough theory and just enough poetry
A very good introduction to poetry; a mix of methods and examples by masters fo the art. A good read in itself, unlike poetry encyclopedias. A good resource for writers too.
