Marcia Nasatir (1926-2021) was the first woman to be appointed a vice president of a major Hollywood studio, United Artists, in 1974.

Before moving to Hollywood, she worked in publishing in New York City. Her recommendations brought the paperback edition of Catch-22 to Dell and created the genre of "instant books" with the publication of the Warren Commission Report.
