This is, hands down, the best book to see why the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon contains what is described as world class whitewater. At normal flows the canyon’s rapids are daunting, and at some of the water levels depicted in this book’s illustrations they are downright dangerous if not nearly suicidal. This is a must have book for serious Grand Canyon river runners.
