Quickie Review:

I wanted to love this one, but as I struggled with the first book, I wasn't sure, but other reviewers had mentioned it was better than the first book. I only got through about halfway before I had to set this one aside. It had some promise, but this author doesn't write MC romance like how it should be written. Its basically an attempt to make MC romance milk toast and that is what this is. Its very tame and boring and just didn't resonate on any level. Not planning on reading any more of this author.… (más)

With each new book in this series, I grown closer and closer to the Stone Riders and their ladies. The other two prior books in this series, I would say are on the spicer side, but this one is more on the emotional and slow burn side. It is a nice change. Don't get me wrong as I do love my spice, but I am also a sucker for the slow burn, emotional reads that make me become fully invested in the love interest's story.

From the first moment I was introduced to Jamie and Pen, I knew I was going to love them. What I really enjoyed about this book was the chapters that flashed back to the past with the slow progression of time jumps. With each jump, you could feel the love between these two grow deeper and deeper. When Jamie gave Pen her "first kiss"!… (más)

I loved the first book in this series with Wes and Callie, but Laura and Killian just took the top spot. The angst and heat these two where giving me had me all on edge. Although, I have to admit that at times Killian was very frustrating. I was undecided on if I wanted to slap him or kiss him.

When Killian gave Laura the pebble. My heart cracked as I knew what it meant. Killian may not be good with his emotions, but that pebble was his way of telling Laura, she meant a lot to him, and he loved her. For me it was about the emotions not that the s#x was not great. It was steamy.

If you love MC books, you have to read this series. These men have stolen my heart. Where I Belong is right here with Ashley Munoz and the Stone Riders!

Callie Stone walked away from everything she knew including her family, her father's motorcycle club, and especially, Wes Ryan, her friend turned lover. With the death of her father, Wes has taken over as president and Callie must deal with a funeral, while returning to all she left behind. Wes has never stopped loving Callie, but his loyalty is to the club that Callie wants no part of. With internal club politics heating up and a rival gang making waves, Callie and Wes may have to join forces in order to stop what might be the death of them all.

As with many MC romances, the motorcycle club in Where We Started is a far cry from reality. Even so, this story manages be engaging and the romance, entertaining. Several well written love scenes add another layer to this complex plot filled with a variety of characters and motivations. However, the plot is plagued with uneven pacing, and the character of Callie is sometimes frustrating as she frequently does things that she admits she shouldn't do. Wes's character leaps back and forth from being a sweet man, deeply in love with Callie to a hard nosed MC president. As a matter of fact, the voices of the two characters come across as very similar. Overall, Where We Started is an enjoyable MC romance if the reader is able to overlook some of the novel's deficiencies.
