Reed Moorhouse

I was never taught how to read and appreciate poetry, so I suppose I should not be surprised that I cannot understand or enjoy much of this book's contents. Of the 132 poems presented here for an English teacher's use in the classroom, I appreciated but six: "The Stroke of War" by William Crowe, " Seagull" by Gerald Griffin, "Squinancy-Wort" by Edward Carpenter, an anonymous entry called "All Shall Pass Away", "King Solomon and the Ants" by John G. Whittier" and my favourite, "The Beau and the Bedlamite" by John Byron.… (más)
