A quick trip through various ideas of the afterlife, complete with iillustrations, many of them rather droll. This is not a book that gives an in-depth view of any religion; it gives a very quick synopsis of many. For the most part, Christianity is not covered, though a couple of Christian denominations are covered, chiefly Roman Catholic and a couple of the lesser known groups (also Mormon, though the book doesn't take a stance on whether Mormons are Christian). Included with most entries are drawings of the founders, though with one not very surprising exception. Discussions of the final destination of both the "good" and the "bad" as determined by each religion are included. Some of these were religions I had not heard of before, which makes it even better.
