My Dog's a Chicken is a funny easy read by Susan McElroy. In this story Lula Mae really wanted a dog but her family couldn't afford it so she decides to make one of her chickens a dog. Her family gives her a hard time and she continues to prove them wrong with all of the things her chicken does to act like a dog. In the end the chicken helps find the baby so her mom finally lets the chicken sleep in the house because he is a "rescue dog". I think this cute story shows children to make the best out the situation and to think positively and in the end it will turn out just right.… (más)
