The book moves between Ivy, Willa's mother, and Willa, a foster-care teenager, who is looking for her mother. Ivy is married and has another daughter, Abby, a husband Rence, and a business Allure in Savannah, Georgia. They are extremely successful and wealthy. Ivy has never told Rence that she had had a child as a teenager. When Willia finds out she is pregnant at 18, she decides to seek out her mother. A DNA test she took with an online service pointed her to her Uncle Peter who lives in Helena, Montana. From there she discovers her mother in Savannah and travels there to meet her. However, things do not go well as Ivy is going to Paris to meet with her husband. Instead, Ivy, follows Abby and her nanny, Mia, to a tennis camp and ends up applying for a job there to get closer to her half-sister and hopefully her mother. A series of unfortunate events land Willia in jail for second-degree murder and manslaughter and place an unbearable strain on Ivy and Rence's marriage.… (más)
