Good writing and skilful use of various timelines without getting the reader lost. Canoeing parts are well done and asks questions I’ve asked of myself - could I be alone in the woods. Philosophic reflections were weak and without any appeal. I could not relate to Brenda in any of those passages so felt lost and it sounded like goobly goop.
