I must admit that the concept of this book sounded a bit "cheesy", but I can tell you after reading the book that there might be tons of cheese puns, but the story is amazing. All of the men are great. Each had their own personally that I loved. Although, I will admit that reading this book did make me hungry for cheese and as cheese fan I was not mad about this.

The guys are Brie, Cam, Cheddy and Roq. Brie is soft spoken and a bit shy. Cam aka Camembert is a flirt. Cheddy aka Cheedar is kind of the peacemaker, and his personality is between Cam and Brie. Finally, there is Roq aka Roquefort, he is grumpy. Yet, when he breaks, it is oh so good.

I love that Violette only questioned her sanity for a brief period and then accepted the situation. Every night that the guys would transform into men from cheese, got me excited. All I have to say about this book is Why Cheese?, Why Not. I am gouda for this book.

Love love love a good modern day Jane Austen inspired novel! This hit the mark with regards to a great retelling. I enjoyed the inclusion of biracial characters as love interests. Ellen Mint knows how to write a fun book. I will be reading all the books in this series! Bravo!

I have tried to read "Emma" by Jane Austen roughly twelve hundred times and have never quite made it through. This rendition was refreshing, fun, and enjoyable to read. The reality show premise was unique and interesting - it's actually a show I would enjoy watching! Overall, I thought the story was really great! However, there were quite a few open door bedroom scenes that I was not expecting and did not really appreciate. They seemed awkward and as if the author thought they were required to be in the book as opposed to actually being necessary. Honestly, you could completely cut them out and the book would easily gain a star.… (más)

Ember: in this take on Emma, aspiring interior designer/matchmaker joins the cast of the reality show Constructing Love. As she attempts to shepherd mousy Harriet to victory and love, she finds herself partnered with taciturn contractor Booker Knightly. Her disappointment fades the longer Ember and Booker work together, eventually coming to an understanding. Maybe they misjudged each other and can find a way to friendship…or more.
I will read any Austen adaptation and I’ve discovered I’ll also read any romance with a reality show at the center, so Ember was right up my alley. And it was a lot of fun! Constructing Love has a bonkers premise, where contestants fix up a mansion but also fall in love? Would I watch this? 100%! The reality show production is not glamorized AT ALL. It was a mess and I love mess. Like, it was very juicy and engaging. I would have read more of just the making of Constructing Love.
Ember and Booker have great enemies to lovers chemistry, with the mutual attraction simmering under the surface right from the first meeting. A very strong attraction! I was not anticipating this read to be as spicy as it was, so that was a fun surprise. Overall, Ember was a lot of fun, with humor, autumn vibes, and boning!
Thanks LibraryThing for the ARC!
