I think this book would be good for primary and intermediate level students. This book is about a little girl talking about the things that they look for or see during the seasons that lead to them doing other things. For example, when the shadbush blooms, they go fishing and then so on that is how the book is layed out.

This book follows the tradition of Lenape Indians both traditional and contemporary. It follows the traditions as the seasons change and the pictures show a parallel of how despite the change over time, their traditions still look the same. This book could be great in the library of a 1st-3rd grade class. I also think that this book could kick off a project on interviewing their family about their own traditions.

This book would be great for 2-3rd graders, the text is fairly short, but the text splits from history to modern day which maybe harder for younger readers to understand. In a classroom this would be great to show the history of Native American culture, students learn a lot about Native history so having some background about the culture would be beneficial.… (más)

Intermediate
A native family is doing lots of activities throughout the year, ones that their ancestors did too.
This is a great book to show how our ancestors aren't that different from us.
