House of Zannon series #1. Fantasy and romance. Cliffhanger in terms of the series. It is only the beginning of power dynamics.
Tarrian is under attack. As the princess of the Dolphin Throne and a warrior, she feels it’s her responsibility to take down the enemy but how do you do that when a piece of the demon is inside you? The attack launches the Succession ceremony to put her on the throne and Tarrian must put aside her childlike escape and accept the set path of her future.
Tarrian must grow up fast in this first book in the series. She must decide on the multiple mates and species that will make up her child for the future of the throne. She uses her heart to make the decisions easier and she hopes, to strengthen her position and the throne.
I enjoyed the scenes with her swimming and interacting with the dolphins. They had their own personalities which I found fun. I would like to see the relationships she started expand as the series does and how her various elemental magic abilities impact the world itself.
Guess I have to read the next book to see if that happens.
