After seven years as an outside linebacker, DM penned his memoirs/expose! This world is only hinted at in Hunter Thompson's collection of his sports writing, but has powerfully influenced my own view on professional sport. Drugs, racism, and a very exploitative system for the players, while the owners do rake in a great deal of cash. DM went on to work for the NFL Player's association, and has received his share of death threats.
