Jennifer McNabb

It may be just because the history of witchcraft and human beliefs is a particular interest, but this is honestly one of the best installments of the Great Courses I've listened to. The topic is rushed because how can you fit such a varied and fascinating and tragic history, but if anyone was going to condense this history into five hours I think Jennifer McNabb did an incredible job.

I knew a bit of this history, but due to my proximity to Salem a lot of my understanding revolves around that particular tragedy. I learned a lot about the history of witchcraft in Europe. This is a course I would listen to again, and in fact I wrote down several books that McNabb references in her course.

If you're looking for an overview of witchcraft and the unfortunate legacy of witch hunts... this is an excellent starter course.… (más)
