This was actualy quite good. For the most part, this book is about being a woman and not being afraid to ask for or demand being treated right and with respect from the people in your lives. It had religious undertones without being preachy so even a heathen like me could enjoy it. She is a strong woman that knows what she wants and therefore is treated that way. I will definitely use some of her advice.

This book is by Dr. Phil's wife Robin. If she wasn't Dr. Phil's wife this book would probably not be written. It's ok, there are a few gems in the book. However, to me it comes off rather preachy. do as I say not as I do in some places, this is who I am if you don't like it tough in others.

I'm lukewarm on this book. It was too repetitious for me. It isn't necessary to reword the same topic for two pages. I get it!
The book isn't what I had thought it would be. I thought it would be about living a better life, but this was more of a memoir.
I didn't know she was Christian and wonder why it took so many years for it to be put in print. I didn't know her parents were alcoholics, but she has persevered and that is commendable.
She is a high energy person and it shines through in the book. But what I really liked about this book, was her hospital emergency story about her son and the man who takes the phone call from her to convey the message she couldn't get out of her mouth while telling her Dad to come to the hospital. She she turned to tell the man thank you, he was gone. I think she would be a genuine person to be friends with, but the book isn't a keeper for me.… (más)

You can find my full review at Quieted Waters.

As a 22-year old male, in the prime of his life, I was certainly not the target of a book written by a 55-year old woman describing how to feel your best at any age. I wasn’t the target audience, yet I came away surprised at how much I enjoyed What’s Age Got to Do with It? by Robin McGraw.
