This is a solid work that reduces the 600+ page manual to a manageable 160ish page overview of Scrivener 3. For the most part, the writing is clear and accessible. There are places where the clarity could have been improved by adding screenshots to illustrate the instructions in the text, but for the most part, that is not a problem. Readers who have little first-hand experience with Scrivener may want to read the introductory chapter and gain experience with the software before attempting to read the entire text. That is the approach I took with Scrivener 3 over a year ago. Now, after reading McElhearn’s informative and suitably brief text, I will be able to make effective use of an expanded range of the options provided by the software.… (más)

A really really good basic primer into Scrivener and some of its more "hidden" features. It's a complement, not a replacement, to the included Scrivener manual. I would strongly recommend this book for anyone getting started with this feature-rich word processing/thinking/organization app.
