Historical novel set mainly in Glasgow, describing the life of upwardly mobile family migrating to the city's fashionable West End, and the interactions between the classes, the characters vividly drawn. From the west of Scotland the action moves to Vienna, which I found quite disconcerting.

Just a sappy little story about a woman writing the love story of her grandparents... not knowing all the secrets that were kept.
