I loved this book and thought it provided a detailed explanation of music (which most kids know and love. There were not too many words on each page and although there was some possibly confusing language, the glossary in the back should help. There was engaging pictures of famous musicians and then a final chapter about how much music is used in everyday life in ways we might not know. The science of each instrument family was detailed but not overbearing. The description of how our ears can hear and our throats can sing (some better than others) also was intriguing, but also short and sweet. Some history was thrown in there, but I think that the book is engaging and informational.… (más)
