I found this book an intriguing and rare account of the personal experience during the Chinese Cultural Revolution. It tells a story about how religious belief and faith saved a man's life during his difficult years in a Cultural Revolution hard-labor camp. Compared with most of the current works on the Chinese Cultural Revolution, this book offers an interesting contrast between the atheist communist China and a personal exploration of faith, independence, and inner serenity.

A true story based in China during the 'Cultural Revolution.' About a man who finds Jesus and some of the many trials he faced to live as he believed he should. This is a beautiful and very faith promoting story.

I have read only two books about China's 'Cultural Revolution.' The first one I read is "The Red Scarf Girl," another excellent book. It is amazing to me that these things were happening during my lifetime.

Truly a person can only strive to be better after reading "Mr Wong's" story.
