Nowhere to Hide by Max Luther
Alex Drayce #1

Fast-paced, action-packed, thrill-ride from beginning to end ~ Couldn’t put it down!

What I liked:
* Alex Drayce: ex-policeman, bodyguard, orphaned at 2 years of age, widow, has made fighting skills, lethal, believes in fighting the good fight and defending those in need, moral, willing to do what needs to be done to protect those in his care, intriguing
* Julie Adler: works for the National Crime Agency, career in police-type work, willing to bend rules to make sure the right thing is done, wise, protective, marksman, strong, and savvy
* Sarah: in witness protection program, gave information to put away the cruel evil Marlowe Brothers and is set to give testimony before being moved to her new location and identity, being chased by hitmen paid for by her brother
* The plot, pacing, tension, character development, and writing
* That I was invested in the outcome and rooting for Drayce to keep Sarah alive
* Finding a new author and series that I enjoyed and knowing there will be another book in this series next year
* All of it except…

What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like
* Thinking about the evil that some are willing to do and how easily corrupting some people must be to do by those who are evil
* Having to wait to read the next book in the series

Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Yes

Thank you to NetGalley and Canelo for the ARC – This is my honest review.

In this second book Max and Luther once again charm us with their stories about the dog park. Luther loves mud after it rains. Unlike most dogs he doesn't like to roll in it, he likes to eat it. His mom doesn't approve, but he just can't seem to help himself. Max loves to dig holes and search for gophers. We learn many more things they love to do and the family fun they have. However, for me the most enjoyable part of this book is all of the facts we learn about dogs. This information is sprinkled throughout the book. Like the first book in this series, this is a keeper, a must read.

This is a fun book that tells all about some of the most hilarious dog stories that dog lovers everywhere can appreciate. The illustrations are also very fun to look at. If you have children who are crazy about dogs, this would be a fun book to read together.

his wonderful book is a wealth of information for people who take their dogs to dog parks. The stories are told by two dogs, Max and Luther. You will hook kids when you read the section titled, Picky Poop Eater. I laughed so hard when I read that Max was a poop eater. But, he was picky. He didn't eat his own poop, he ate other dog's poop. These cute stories are followed by signposts or newspaper looking articles that tell you what you should or should not do, There is definite humor the way this is written. We are told that dogs view kids as fun toys. The tales told from a dogs perspective are great for teaching adults and kids about dog parks.
