“Australia as I Found It” is a travelogue-type of book written by an Irish traveler, June Martin, describing 3 months’ long travels of a senior couple across all states of Australia. It proved to be a quick and quite pleasant read, though unfortunately I found Martin’s writing style a bit boring at times (after the first chapter I wasn’t sure if I should continue reading but it got a lot better quickly). All in all it is an interesting book, well researched, full of facts and details and covering not only Australia’s attractions but also looking into the lifestyle, attitude towards Aborigines, work, preservation efforts etc.
