Monte Markham

Quite a nice story, if a tad predictable, and some attractive scenery and shots. Let down by rather forced acting that felt more 1950s than 1974, when this film was made.

Rather too much banter and drunkenness for my tastes, and somewhat sordid too in places, although there's nothing explicit. We kept watching; it's certainly not the worst film we've seen, but not one I'm eager to re-watch, though we might do so in another decade or so .
