It's a hard book to describe. Any condensed version of the plot would seem all over the place. It's got aspects of spirituality, apocalyptic themes, environmentalism. It's fairly slow moving, particularly the first quarter, and once it picks up, it won't appeal to everyone, but the message it attempts to convey of forgiveness and love was very moving and it had an interesting spin on "angels" and the seven deadly sins.
You'll have to suspend your disbelief for this one because the skepticism you'd see out of normal humans doesn't seem to exist in this book, but if you can settle into it and the off kilter speaking style of some of the main characters, it becomes a much quicker read.
