Gearheads will find this a very entertaining book. mostly pictures, but with great background/commentary to flesh out the history of racing on "the Mile". I had hoped for a little more back ground on the road racing use of the infield road course, but, hey, the Oval was the primary attraction and the info on the races held there over the years was great. If motor racing history is of interest to you it is worth the price.

read this on the plane to a conference in Milwaukee. The book provided a nice historical context to the economic development provided by the brewing industry. Walking around near downtown was familiar because of the extensive photos and descriptions in the book.
