This edition looks like a budget reprint of what may have once been a beautifully illustrated, much larger, hardcover version. In any event, the many illustrations would have benefitted from being larger and more clearly printed. The text is interesting and well written, but here and there becomes a bit too academic for my tastes. Overall, it's a worthwhile compendium of world creation myths.
