David R. Maciel

David R. Maciel is a history professor and chairperson of the Department of Chicana/o Studies at California State University. He has held appointments at a number of other universities, including the University of Arizona, the University of New Mexico, and the University of Guadalajara. He specializes in Chicano/a history, Mexico, the southwestern United States, and modern Latin America. He is author of numerous book and journal articles, as well as scholarly reviews.
