In a town not so far away and a time not so long ago, baby Rose was left at Greenwoods Orphanage, where Mrs. Harley (Nancy Stafford) and the children under her care became the young child's family. Rose (Bailee Michele Johnson) loses her orphan mother, Mrs. Hartley (Nancy Stafford) to influenza and is sent to another home where she must learn to live with Mr. Crampton (Edward Herrmann), the harsh headmaster, and several other unruly children. Mr. Crampton struggles with the separation from his daughter, Grace. Rose is befriended by Emily (Savana Kylie Lewis), another orphan girl and grows in friendship with Joe (Bruce Newbold), Mr. Crampton's brother. Excitement and joy awaits when each child receives a Christmas orange. Mr. Crampton receives a special Christmas gift himself in this heartwarming film. Highly recommend.
