{My thoughts} – The other day my husband and I were walking around Kroger and we came upon this book with our two year old daughter. She was fascinated by it from the moment she laid her eyes on it. She found that it was a fun book to look at, to page through, she enjoyed being able to feel the many different textures on the pages. She hadn’t even heard the story yet, but was in love with the book, so of course we got it for her.

This is a nice little book that has a shiny cover and the pages mass. It is really colorful and eye appealing. It has different textures within the pages and it is very engaging for a child. My daughter had spent an hour or so just paging through the book over and over. The story is written in a rhyme like fashion and is easy to understand. Each time you turn the pages you will see that there is a direction to find five more of a similar animal in which the previous page had mentioned. It’s not only a nice little story but aids in helping children learn to count from one to five. It helps in teaching children the names and pictures of bears, fish, lions, penguins, and foxes.

I highly recommend this book for children that are interested in new books. Interested in animals, counting, shiny things, and books with textures. This book has a lot of potential and can become a wonderful learning tool for you and your child in both reading, word association and counting.

{My thoughts} – I have become a huge fan of these books ever since I ran across you should Never Touch a Dragon a couple of years back. I have slowly been working on trying to get my hands on more of the series. I think it’s a colorful and fun series for children.

The cover is bright and eye catching and appealing. The texture differences that are on each page help to engage your child in more then just sight. The words and text are also formatted in different ways to help appeal to your child. It is colorful, fancy and fun.

This particular book is about dinosaurs and it is written in a rhyme like pattern. It goes to the tune of “Five Little Monkey’s Jumping on the Bed.” I really enjoyed reading through this book. It helps to show children how to count down from five to one. It uses bright colors and really fun illustrations. It also has some really cool textures on each of the pages for children to touch and explore.

I recommend this book for any child that enjoys touching and feeling different kinds of textures. I also recommend it for any child that enjoys being read to on a regular basis. This book has the potential to become a loved book for children.

Our copy of this is so well worn and loved. This is a great first board book, with squishy and colorful frogs to get the attention of any baby. As the child gets older, this is an engaging book to teach and review colors and numbers (math!).The song is fun to sing too.

The only good thing about this book is the sequinned cover page.

When two siblings make a snowman, he comes to life! Mr. Snowman keeps coming inside and FREEZING everything!!! It was a cute little book and it was fun saying "OH No, Mr. Snowman" to all of his silly antics.

I bought and read this to my nephew and he absolutely loved it. It's a rhyming book and taught him about a few animals he didn't know yet.

This book is great for pre k students who are interested in dinosaurs. The information is simple to understand and there are awesome illustrations. Also this book comes with stickers. What child doesn't like stickers? This is a great book for a start to a unit about dinosaurs to give the children an informational start into learning about these fascinating creatures.

This is a very durable book with a carry-me handle. It has very bright vivid colors and a rhyme like story about several wild animals. There are also patches of fur, whiskers and leather to touch and feel for babies.

I really like this board book, being that I'm the mom of a four month old. I believe this will come in handy in the next few months.

I believe this book is a little below the school level and might not have a place in the classroom.
