BiblioLorenzoLodi | Mar 16, 2012 | An excellent analysis of both the history of Israel and the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The book is strongest when Lozowick is arguing his position; when he is presentling his historical analysis, it often appears as if he expects his reader to have more basic knowledge than might reasonably be expected. I knew what he was talking about, but I'm not sure if everyone will. The strongest part of Lozowick's writing is his willingness to address and acknowledge weaknesses and problems in the Israeli position. This is the exact opposite of the intellectual dishonesty so prevelant in those who oppose Israel and/or support the Palestinians. I just wish that more people who (a) don't know much about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict or (b) support the Palestinians (often on the basis of incomplete or inaccurate information) would read this book with an open mind.… (más)
