This is a very simple color book. Each page gives you the English name of a color, as well as the Chinese name of that same color both in English and in character. There’s also an item associated with that color that’s also associated with celebrating Chinese New Year. These items are described with their history at the end. This book will help kids learn Chinese colors and match them with items they see during these celebrations.

The young boy's father was the composer and leader of the Chinese Opera. Growing up, he has always looked up to him and learned how to perform on stage. This story follows the life of a young boy, learning the ways of Chinese Opera and what it means to persevere and push through times of difficulties. This would be a great book to introduce students to Chinese culture and the importance of working hard. This would be a great book for early elementary students.
