Definitely the best book on London squares I've ever read. Very large amount of pictures, which is nice. Looks at the development and purpose of squares and their history with changing architectural practices and stuff like the class character. No histories of specific squares, although the major ones are used as examples of the general history so you get some facts about them. Definitely worth reading if you're interested.
