Des Linden

This book really focuses on Linden's marathon career, and her running of the 2018 Boston marathon. I was surprised by the short survey of Linden's childhood and college experience. I found the parallel accounts of running that one marathon, and her development as a marathoner interesting. It's refreshing to see how an athlete persists and blooms in her 20s and 30s. The book provides a window into an athlete thinking through their career.

Excited to receive an ARC of this book and enjoyed every minute of the story.

I've admired Des Linden for a long time and have vivid memories of her win at Boston and this story of her running life intermixed with race day details was a real treat for a marathon runner.
