Good book overall. Interesting subject overall and the author presents it in an interesting format.

This is a very thorough look at the history of firearms in the United States, as well as the laws that impact their ownership and use - and how those laws have been enforced. I admit that I was surprised that the book delved into the politics of race and gender as it relates to gun laws and enforcement and the public's perception of criminality. This is such a politicized issue in our society today that I don't suspect this book will convince anyone of anything, nor would I expect any supporter of "Stand Your Ground" laws to read past the first few pages, but I think it is a good book for people who already oppose such laws to be equipped with a better historical understanding of the issue.… (más)
