This is a long fiction about at first, a dog, then a gay man writing about his life, explaining a lot of what he feels. It was sad, for me, in parts. I could relate to my cat passing just three weeks before my most beloved grandma. The other thing was: I wasn't born to be averagely healthy. I got sicknesses often: chicken pox and most childhood diseases but measles. I thought mumps was cool. But I fell on my back I don't know how many times. Now that I am over fifty, it seems things are coming at me like tennis balls out of a machine.

Eric seemed to get serious side effects after he had to have tumors removed from his brain, from a doctor that really did not know his stuff. Now me and Eric are stuck on disability that puts us in the "poverty" range of life. He speaks a great deal about the great love of his life, Mitchell, who claimed that he was not gay. He speaks of ziggy, who died shortly after Mitchell. This leads to his new puppy, who he had to train not to howl at night, nor pee on the bed. It is a very touching story that may leave a tear in your eye.

Thank you to E.P. Lee and Word Slinger for giving me a free e-ARC of this book to read and give my honest review.
