The creep
Whitney Chase is a journalist in New York writing for a monthly magazine called the Bystander. Its editor is Mort Brewer, who has a lot integrity and feels that the press is what keeps the government honest. It is 2001, post 911 but before the US invades Iraq for Weapons of mass destruction. Whitney latches onto a story about imitation blood being developed by a company called Rubicon with headquarters near Denver. The medical director and chief scientist Eva Kriss gives Whitney access to all her data as well as a few living survivors of the blood transfusions.
This story is science fiction. The writing is quite good, the premise is very interesting it he story seems to lose steam when Whitney is ready to publish but can’t for lame reason.… (más)
