But the recipes? Awful. For example, there is the "Breakfast Banana Dog," which is a banana placed in a hot dog bun, with a few "add-ins" like cheese, flaxseed, and jam.
Also, I didn't understand one of the purees (the hidden ingredients combos) - most of them were vegetables, and that makes sense. But the "purple" puree is part greens and lots of blueberries. Greens are great. Blueberries? I don't know any child who wouldn't gladly eat a handful of blueberries and, quite frankly, they're just too darn expensive for me to go around hiding them in my food!
I'd be interested in finding a different cookbook that uses a similar concept, but offers truly delicious recipes. Any suggestions?… (más)
