A historical reference of reloading .22 caliber rifles, dated but interesting. The only flaw is the disparaging of the Winchester .220 Swift. The .220 Swift, the first factory cartridge to exceed 4,000 fps. muzzle velocity rendered all other .22 caliber cartridges inferior for long range shooting. The advent of the .220 Swift also prevented the author from carving a niche expertize in popular magazines of the time as Jack O'Connor, Warren Page and Elmer Keith accomplished with the .270 Winchester, 6m/m's and large bore big game rifles respectively.… (más)
