Another book in which the "bizarre truths" aren't really given much attention so as to keep the mysteries alive. There is no mystery to crop circles, except why people want to make them, perhaps, and why other people stake so much on unnatural explanations. The fascinating truth behind alchemy is that it became chemistry. The puzzling mystery behind Noah's Ark is that anyone thinks an old boat could possibly prove anything.

The section on alien abduction particularly bothered me, because he missed the point entirely: as with multiple personality disorder and ritual satanic abuse, people were given memories by the therapists who were supposed to help them.

Library copy.

Wow! What a fun book this is full of famous mysteries. Facts about, Big Foot, Crop Circles, The Bible Code, Zombies, Roswell, Jack The Ripper, Noah's Ark just to name a few. I found it to be a wonderful book for all ages. Their are pictures and also some fun facts to read. I found that one to be my favorite.
Crop Circles
Did You Know...It Might Not Be The Aliens After All?
Australian wildlife has recently developed some unusual habits. Wallabie's have been eating the poppies that grow on opium plants, which are abundant in Australia--the country produces about half of the world's legally grown opium--and the opium consumption has been making the critters act...well...strange. The creatures tend to go walking in the opium fields after eating the plants, creating crop circles similar to the ones that have baffled scientists for hundreds of years. Apparently sheep do this too, through it's not clear whether they enjoy the opium as much.

This book is so interesting I couldn't put it down until I read the whole book. I was given this book from Zest Books.

While this book was interesting to read, I found that too little space was devoted to each item. The information given was basic and barely skimmed the surface. I would have liked a more in depth analysis of these topics. A good beginners guide.
