True Vision was a well written book with an interesting plot and characters. I liked the psychic element - Charlie was empathic. This is the first book in a three book series about Charlie and her sisters, all of whom evidently have some sort of psychic ability that will be addressed more in future books. We don't really know much about the male protagonist, Noah, other than the fact that he is a cop from Chicago and has suffered loss in his job that has affected him deeply. The book had 68 chapters, which for me, disrupted the flow of the story making it difficult to maintain a connection with the story and characters. Also, the beginning of the book is riddled with instances of telling vs. showing which also made it tough to initially connect with the characters or story.… (más)

True Colors was much better than the first book in this series. We get to know both main characters, and it is easy to connect with them. Like her sister, Alex is an empath. Her empathy is much stronger than her sister's, however, which creates physical as well as emotional issues that she can't control. The male protagonist, John, has caught the attention of a serial killer from his past, and as a result, everyone he cares about, especially Alex, is in danger. As in the first book, True Vision, there is a side story that isn't really developed, which leaves the reader feeling cheated, but otherwise this was an excellent story.… (más)

True Shot wraps up the True Trilogy with Sam, the sister of Charlie and Alex. She has used her empathic ability as an agent for the government, but her boss has been using her for experiments in creating empathic soldiers. Sam accidentally meets up with Mac, Charlie's former lover, and finds love for herself. The story was interesting and tied up some loose ends in this series, but not nearly enough. Many issues from this story as well as previous stories in this trilogy were never address or addressed insufficiently. Another book was in order, but its's too bad we didn't get it.… (más)
