Hi, we are Jules and Jenni. (Julia and Jennifer)
We were born in Germany, we are twins and we are 11yrs. old.
We love to read and we love to tell other kids about our favourite books.

Today we are looking, (together with our dad), at a book for children up to the age of 3 yrs.

The book is:
Pip the Gnome and the Forest Feast by Admar Kwant

The story:
Gnome Pip walks through the forest to gather food. First he gathers little treats for his friends, crunchy seeds for Mouse, dandelion leaves for Rabbit and shiny acorns and hazelnuts for Squirrel.
Now everyone has delicious things to eat, except Pip, because he was so busy getting food for his friends he forgot to look for something nice for himself.
It doesn't look promising for Pip's forest feast.
What will Pip's friends do?

Jules says:
I find the pictures very cute and very beautiful. They really have a special look, like they were drawn just right at this moment with a coloured pencil and the result is a background (usually the forest) which looks fresh and a bit like it's moving.
I totally love the fresh green colours and Pip's red bobble hat is super-cute.
Pip looks very friendly and kind, you can't help but feel happy, when you look at him.

This is a very lovely book and it's 5 stars for the wonderful pictures form me.

Jenny says:
Pip is a very friendly and helpful gnome. He puts others first, no wonder his friends love him, as do my sister and I.
The little animals have collected berries for Pip, as it's his favourite food and I love so much how they share and are there for each other.
I think, it's a very good story for little kids about friendship.
There are always a few (mostly short) sentences on each page, and I think, this will work super for little kids. The words are also easy enough.

Pip gets 5 fresh berries/stars for being such a super-caring and kind gnome.

The Dad says:
I agree with my girls, what's there not to like about Pip?
The easy sentences and vibrant and heartwarming illustrations fusion wonderfully as a very suitable story for the target audience.
The message, those who care, share with their friends and if you give to others you will receive kindness in return, is important and told in a very clear and utterly charming way.

A good friend like Pip deserves 5 stars and it's a total of 5 stars from all of us.
