Wilfried Kopenhagen

An East German book on Soviet fighter aircraft. Though now outdated, in its time it was one of the few sources on the subject which one could assume had a reasonable chance of being accurate, as long as it was read through the filter of propaganda. And although many of the photographs were either heavily retouched or depicted the traditional blurred Russian aircraft, it has the benefit of colour side-views and it also gives due prominence to the various Western types flown by the Russians either during the early days of the Soviet Union or under Lend-Lease during the Great Patriotic War.… (más)
